Captain Michelle Hinojosa
Captain Michelle Hinojosa was born December 26, 1979 in Erie, Pennsylvania. She enlisted into the Texas Army National Guard in 1997 as a medic. She continued her academic and military education at The University of Texas at Austin earning her BS in Biology with a teaching certificate and her commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Texas Army National Guard through their Army ROTC program in December 2002. She is branched Medicated Service Corps and assigned as a platoon leader in a medical company from 2003 to 2005. Captain Michelle Hinojosa was then assigned in 2005-2007 as the 249th Main Support Battalion Headquarters Detachment Commander. Afterward she was assigned as the commander of the Division Special Troops Battalion Headquarters Support Company Commander from 2007-2008. Currently she is assigned to the Officer Candidate School as an Instructor. While serving as a platoon leader and commander she also was teaching high school science classes as her full-time job.
She is now currently serving as the Recruiting Operations Officer at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
